Spring Festival and Plant Sale
I stopped by the festival and plant sale in the late afternoon and it was still in full swing. It was great to see so many gardeners and people from the community out enjoying themselves. And the weather, while chilly, was really perfect. Clearly the plant sale was a big success! Thanks to everyone who organized, volunteered, performed, cooked, showed up, and supported our beautiful space! If anyone has other photos to share, please feel free to email them to me. I love sharing photos from other garden members.

Check out all the work getting ready for the plant sale as Luz gets the tables ready for next Saturday's big day.
Spring Work Day
Sunday was a bustling work day in the garden as everyone was getting the garden ready for the Spring Festival and Plant Sale. There were many people working on the garden as well as several new members for orientation. So great to see so many people in the garden!

6/15 Green Takes a Stand at the Climate March in DC
Several members of the 6/15 Community went to Washington to make their voices heard on one of the most pressing issues facing our country--and world--right now. Climate Change.
Garden members who marched included Ramona, Jane, Paul, Peggy, Elvy, Sarah, Luz and Blue, and some of the group marched with the Food and Farm Justice Hub in the "Creators of Sanctuary" contingent.
This is what continues to amaze me about our garden--that we have such an active community, not just in our small garden space, our neighborhood, but also in the world at large. Thank you to all who went for continuing to ensure that our world is a safe and protected place for all of us for generations into the future.
Thanks to Peggy and Ramona for the photos!

On such a dreary winter day, I thought everyone would enjoy this bright and colorful photo from Anahit of a cardinal enjoying a sunflower in the group veggie garden. Makes you appreciate all the seasons!
